After the Opryland Hotel we headed to the Opry House where we surprised my parents with tickets to the Grand Ole Opry for that night. They were surprised and very excited!
After the Opry House we checked out the Cumberland River so they could see HOW MUCH water had to have fallen to flood the river and the city back in May of 2010. Next we headed to Downtown Nashville to see The Country Music Hall of Fame, Bridgestone Arena, The Ryman, The AT&T Building and all the Honky Tonks along Broadway.
After Downtown we headed to the West End to see the Parthenon. Which, for you movie lovers, is seen in the movie 'Percy Jackson and the Olympians'. It's a good movie, you should check it out.
And then off to lunch at Cheddars.
We ended the afternoon by heading to the Murfreesboro Outdoor Mall, The Avenue to go to one of my favorite stores Charming Charlies; which we need in Michigan, the closest is outside Chicago. After the mall it was back to the hotel for Mom and Dad to get ready for The Grand Ole Opry (Where they had a GREAT time!) and back to our apartment for Valerie and us to get ready to go out in Downtown Nashville. We walked along Broadway, stood outside a few honky tonks, tried on some boots and bought her a cowboy hat. She had a great time and so did we.
Then it was home to bed.
